Project duration:  01.04.2017. – 31.03.2019 (24 months)
Project objective: Enhancement of mobility and employability of Lithuanian and Latvian specialists within the fields of electrical engineering and high voltage technologies.

Project funding: total amount of project budget - EUR 915 322,51, of which - EUR 778 024,10 is ERDF co-financing (85%) and 137 298,41 is state co-financing (15%). LMC budget - EUR 139 512,25, of which - 118 585,41 is ERDF co-financing and EUR 20 926,84 is Latvian state budget funding.
Target audience: specialists within the fields of electrical engineering and high voltage technologies of participating institutions
Main project activities:

1. Development of 6 specialized practical laboratories and inclusion within study programs (LMC: Technological simulator: ship model Diesel-Electric LNG Carrier (financing - 102 346 EUR);

2. Development/upgrade of 13 course programmes for study programmes (LMC: “Ship Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering” and “Automatic and Control Systems For Ship Power Equipment”;

3. Improvement and development of 2 adult education (lifelong learning) courses;

4. development of methodological materials in 3 languages for joint use.

In parallel with the above mentioned main activities throughout the project exchange activities, visits at prospective employers premises and other activities will be held. Also training activities for employees and students of the institutions for development of competences, as well as skills within the fields of electrical engineering and high voltage technologies will be organized.

05.04.2017. During project Kick-off meeting Partnership agreement among all partner has been signed. Latvian and Lithuanina partners shared their experience and visited "Western Shipyard" in Klaipeda. More information in Lithuanian here  and in English here
03.07.2017. - 08.07.2017 Internship of joint team of teachers to Thomas-Faraday Training center (Cyprus) 
29.09.2017. RTU Ventspils branch organized 1st Steering Committee and 1st Management group meetings.  Project partners visited "Ventspils nafta" terminal.
31.01.2018. LJK organized 2nd Management group meeting and Field trip to social partners’ enterprise – SIA “AE Partner”
21.05.2018. - 25.05.2018. - Joint group of LMC and LMA instructors participated in equipment familarisation trainings in LMC, worked with newly installed Diesel-Electric LNG Carrier,  MAN L51/60DF engine room simulatorTraining course of Engine room simulator
19.09.2018. Official opening ceremony of Diesel-Electric LNG Carrier, MAN L51/60DF Engine room simulator in LMC
21.09.2018. KTC organized 3rd Management group meeting and 2nd Steering Committee meeting in Kaunas, Lithuania.  project partners held field trip to "Kaunas Algridas Brazauskas' Hydroelectric Power Plant" in Kaunas. 
14.11.2018 – Joint pilot training “Competence upgrading course for engineer officers (management level)”, organized by LJK, on-line training for partners, in house training for LJK students.
23.11.2018 – Joint pilot training “Safety rules for HV equipment on shore side”, organized by RTUVF, on-line training for LJK students, in house training for RTUVF students.
11.12.2018 – Joint pilot training “Electrical equipment of stations and substations”, organized by KTK, on-line training for LJK students, in house training for KTK students.
